September 16 - 18, 2026
Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
We are excited to present the 14th International Meeting of the Society for Pediatric Interventional Radiology (SPIR) in Edinburgh, Scotland, in September 2026. Following our first Southern Hemisphere meeting in Australia in 2025, we will return to Europe for the first time in four years.
Building on previous years’ themes, we will review the current state of our specialty, explore new treatment methods, and evaluate the effects of expanding our field's global reach.
Founded 16 years ago to improve children's care through image-guided, minimally invasive techniques, SPIR has grown into the world's largest pediatric interventional radiology society. Our members include physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, trainees, and medical students from around the world. While we have made significant advances, much work remains in expanding access to skilled profes-sionals, proper equipment, and inno-vative solutions for pediatric care.
This year's scientific program will include Pediatric IO In-depth discussions on advances in pediatric oncology, Global Experiences Sessions showcasing unique practices from various regions, Panel Discussions thought-provoking panel discussions on topics ranging from system-focused PIR to AI and Robotics, and there will be a special focus on Nurses, Technologists, and PAs Dedicated sessions for multidisciplinary team members.
