We are excited to invite you to participate in the
13th International Meeting of the Society for Pediatric Interventional Radiology (SPIR). For the first time, this meeting will take us to the southern hemisphere to the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia.
This year’s theme, “Beyond Horizons,” reflects our society’s vision of expanding boundaries—scientifically, geographically, and technologically—to explore new frontiers in our field. This serves as an opportunity to challenge current practices, explore new ideas, and uncover groundbreaking approaches to pediatric care.
We are pleased to announce the Keynote Speaker for 2025 is Professor Gerard Goh, Head of Interventional Radiology and Consultant Diagnostic & Interventional Radiologist, Alfred Health.

Professor Goh completed his medical training and Radiology training in Adelaide. He has worked at the Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Ireland where he was also a Clinical Lecturer in Interventional Radiology for the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and at St George’s Hospital, London, UK where he was also an Honorary Senior Lecturer for St George’s University of London. He is a council member for the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) for the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), the secretary general, executive board and executive committee member of the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR) and a member of the Asiasafe initiative, Asia Oceania Society of Radiology (AOSR). In addition hs is an honorary research fellow for the National Trauma Research Institute. In addition to a strong interest in research he has been involved with a number of clinical trials and first-in-human trials, several as global principal investigator. He is a regularly invited international speaker having given over 220 invited presentations, been involved with over 50 workshops and authored 3 book chapters. He is a Regional Editor for the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology journal, Senior Editor for the Interventional Radiology journal and Associate Editor for the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology. He is a peer reviewer for several international journals. His areas of interest include vascular and complex vascular interventions, embolisation, trauma and clinical trials.
